Influencé très jeune par Andy Warhol, Marcel Duchamp, ou encore Jeff Koons, Alzon présente aujourd’hui son travail en Dot Art contemporain, nous peignant le portrait de notre société de surconsommation via ses icônes de la mode, ses gourous, ses mentors, ses hommes de pouvoir, ses grandes fortunes ou encore les supers puissances américaines et asiatiques. Toutes ces cibles sont autant de thèmes artistiques qui le fascinent et l’inspirent.

Sans forcément dénoncer, Alzon ponctue ce qu’il voit à l’aide des points (!) Grâce à ce système de points hauts en couleur, l’artiste peut proposer une double lecture de ses œuvres : en fonction de ce que le spectateur veut voir et en fonction de son emplacement face à la représentation, il pourra voir apparaître une image figurative ou beaucoup plus abstraite.

Et tous ces points vectoriels que l’on peut agrandir à l’infini rappellent notre vertige angoissant pour l’infini.

From an early age, Alzon was influenced by Andy Warhol, Marcel Duchamp and Jeff Koons. He translated this inspiration into his own new media – contemporary Dot Art – painting a portrait of our consumerist society through his fashion icons, gurus, mentors, men of power, and American and Asian superpowers. All those targets are artistic subjects that fascinate and inspire him.

Without necessarily denouncing it, Alzon pinpoints what he wants through his dots. Through this system of colorful dots, the artist allows a double reading of his artworks: according to what the viewer wishes to see, and according to the position they adopt when contemplating the artwork, they can perceive a figurative image or a more abstract one.

All those vector points that can be endlessly expanded remind us of the vertiginous struggle for the infinite.
